To ensure the best quality social media accounts, it is important to be responsive on social media. This means that you interact with people on social media, tweeting/posting to people who have posted you, targeting potential customers, posting about trending topics and current news.
This is important for a number of reasons :
- Being responsive on social media allows you to engage with your customer base.
- Being responsive makes your account seem real to your followers, instead of just posting scheduled posts that seem computerised. Posting real time news, responding to tweets and engaging with trends are what makes your business seem real and approachable to potential clients.
- Not only are you sharing current real time information that may help your customer, or even be a source of entertainment if to be so is relevant to your client. This makes your client valuable to its followers, and also builds a stronger relationship between the client and their customers.
- As for replying to searched phrases, this allows you to target potential business direct.
- Contacting and following bloggers and journalists is also great for publicity, if you are doing this frequently and they are responding IT’S giving the client publicity, from a new audience.

- Make a list of relevant bloggers/journalists for your company.
- Follow these people and send them a message about any press releases that they could help push.
